The pre-level screen is the screen you see when you choose a level to play.

At the top of the screen there is the number of the level and the level title, if applicable.

On some levels the title banner also has a list of Fortune's Favors. Dice belonging to a favored element will gain a 2X multiplier to their POWER. For details see: Fortune's Favors.

Below the title banner there is the Power Meter. It shows the team's recommended POWER for the upcoming level and your current team's POWER. The optimal team POWER lies in the center of the bar. Should the indicator point left of the center of the bar, look for dice with a higher POWER value and/or a matching element for the current Fortune's Favors.

If you are entering a Tournament there is a difficulty level selector above the Power Meter. Swipe the selector left to increase difficulty and right to lower the difficulty. The difficulty level is reflected on the Power Meter.

Going downward there is a grid showing the amount of symbols on your chosen dice. You can see how many sword, shield, magic and luck symbols you have in total. The value does not tell directly how likely you will get a certain combo as that is affected by your symbol distribution. For example, if you have a total of four luck symbols on your dice, the likelihood of rolling two luck symbols on one roll is very different if you have those symbols on four, three or two different dice. Should you have them all on one dice, you would be completely unable to roll two luck symbols on a single roll.

Below the bar there is the 2 by 3 grid of active dice, your current team. The lock symbol on some dice indicates the level when you can assign a collectible die to that slot. Any unlocked die slots can (and should) be filled with a die of your choice by tapping the current die in that slot and then choosing a die from the Dice Box. If you simply want to swap the position of two dice, you can do it by dragging and dropping in the pre-level screen.

Just above the dice you will see the symbol(s) used to charge the dice in that particular column. The symbols are fixed to magic for the left column, luck for the right column, and both magic and luck for the middle column. Each die also has a counter showing the current charge and the required charge for the skill.

At the bottom of the screen you will see the PLAY button and the energy cost of playing that particular level, if applicable.
